save money for the travel

November 4th, 2009

It is always wonderful to have a family travel which will add bonding within the whole family. This is also the time to relax, and will be free from any pressure. However, some may not agree since most of us now are still suffering from economic crisis. But then, we can always do some things to save money for the travel.

Actually, there are many ways on how to have a wholesale travel. It is only a matter of being resourceful and creative. Although it seems to be impossible to enjoy a happy travel these days, we must never compromise the happiness of the whole family. Here are some practical tips that you can consider before traveling.

It is always better to plan ahead. If you feel like traveling with your family in a far way place, you can check their website and look for helpful information on how to save money. Find people who went there previously, and ask for suggestions. Consider also the weather of that place so that you can prepare the necessary clothes especially for your children.

During the travel, use a map so that you will not easily be lost. It can also save you money rather than paying for a tour guide. Instead of buying all the food during the travel, you can bring along some handy but healthy snacks especially for the children. Of course, do not forget to bring basic medicines and first-aid kit. But since you will also need to eat in a restaurant, better include that in your plan.

For those who are in a very tight budget like me, we must not allow this to be a burden to enjoy life especially when it comes to having pleasure with our children.

Many Brits are discovering the excellent holidays that can be had when they cut out costly flight and accommodation fares – and it turns out that the UK has a great deal to offer. Being of impressive diversity across the entire country, no two cities are alike and, if you enjoy experiencing a brand new culture and arts scene, the chances are all you have to do is drive for an hour or two and you’ve found it. » Read more: Holidaying at Home with a Caravan

History Buffs Love California’s Columbia State Park

November 1st, 2009

If you want to get an up-close look at what the mid-19th Century California Gold Rush was like, visit Columbia State Historic Park, said to be the state’s best preserved ghost town.

Actually, Columbia is far from a ghost town. Several local business owners are alive and well, thank you, operating park concessions that help re-create the feeling of a town in the Gold Rush era. On any given day you’ll find people all over town dressed like it was still the 1800’s and doing all they can to create the illusion that you are traveling back in time. » Read more: History Buffs Love California’s Columbia State Park
