Gauge the response. If your new female friend asks you where you’re from, then you are in. This single question is an indication that she’s interested in knowing more about you. Even if she doesn’t come out and ask you right away, don’t bail out too quickly. Stay in and see if you can peek her interest. I’ve found this approach to work wonders in just about any venue while I travel.
