Knowledge in any means is helpful to expand your horizons. Reading books on literature, science and technology etc is not the only way to learn something. Traveling is something which not only provides knowledge but also gifts us with a package of experience and adventure. While most of us love to travel with a herd of great pals, traveling alone can be a lot of fun too and can in fact turn into life’s biggest adventure. Time is like an alcoholic spirit which vanishes with the flick of an eye. Today’s fast life is like a punishment for the youth and is increasing the stress. Hibernation of self is very necessary to relieve ourselves from the hectic life. Traveling alone helps one to understand oneself and discover new thoughts. It gives a sense of responsibility, self-reliance and independence. One can also know their likes and dislikes and the way they react in a particular situation. Visiting an unfamiliar place on your own allows you to know yourself better. This is the perfect time to rekindle with the most loyal company you could ever have in your lifetime – your own self.

One of the best places to explore today is Bogota. Bogota is the capital of Colombia and is famous for its picturesque architecture and unique culture. It is the largest city in Colombia with an altitude of 2,640 meters making it the third-highest major city in the world. It is also said that Bogota is about 8,500 feet closer to the stars. It is most famous for its magnificent Andean views and wonderful spring-like weather. Traveling on your own to Bogota can open up an adventure that you could only imagine.

Hop on to your Bogota-bound plane and make sure you do all of these!

1. Explore the Sabana – Take out time to go far away from the regular city life. For people who love to take risk can go for an adventurous trip near Suesca. It is a paradise for rock climbers. You can experience rock climbing, river rafting and hiking with an additional package of beautiful views.

2. Get a plastic surgery – Travel alone and surprise your friends back home with a sexier and beautiful you. Medical tourism is one of Bogota’s biggest prides. In fact, Bogota is among the world’s top three leading countries offering world-class cosmetic surgery. A plastic surgery in Colombia will cost only around 25% of what the developed nations charge. There is no compromise on the quality of the treatment. The patients are provided high quality service with world-class medical facility. A $32,000 Brazilian butt augmentation in the United States can only cost you $5,000 in Bogota. This is due to the low cost of labor. The patients are treated by highly qualified professional doctors and therefore the risk factor attached to the low cost is also diminished. And when we are talking about the plastic surgery in Bogota, a medical tourism company that needs mention is Cosmetic Harmony. Cosmetic Harmony specializes in complete cosmetic surgery packages, including cosmetic procedures, travel, accommodations, transportation to medical appointments, a bilingual personal assistant and medications.Cosmetic Harmony uses only FDA-approved materials.

3.Swing your hips at Salseando – It is an excellent place to rock the night. It is a mix of hot rhythms and the local culture. Being alone gives you the freedom to meet new friends. Also get a taste at hot spots like Bodeguita del Centro or Son Salome.

4. Dance till death – Party at the Bogota’s favorite spot Andres Carne de Res. It is a 25 year old hot spot located 40 minutes away from Bogota. Apart from partying, this place also offers you a wide range of spectacular local knickknacks and art pieces.

5. Avoid the rush – Transmilenio is the first mass transit in the world to be considered a clean diesel system, as defined by the Kyoto Protocol. Taking this transport will save you from the traffic jams. It also gives you a great view of the Mueso del Oro and Parque Virrey.

6. Toma chocolate – Of course, a trip is incomplete without tasting the local delicacy. Bogota takes pride of its chocolate santafereno. It tastes best with pan de yuccas also known as yucca bread, cheese bread and tamales. The two best authentic places are La Florida and La Puerta Falsa.

7. Shopping freaks – Zona Rosa is the favorite hangout for expensive shopping. If you’re looking for some memorabilia to take back home this would be the best place to shop. You can also have excellent cuisines at any restaurant in the Zona T.

In Bogota, you’ll never run out of anything to do. So take the big risk and brace yourself for something what could possible be the biggest adventure of your lifetime. And if you are interested in Cosmetic Surgery from Cosmetic Harmony, you can get more details from Cosmetic Harmony’s website, http://www.affordableplasticcosmeticsurgeryincolombia.com/

Republic of Colombia is a country located in the northwestern region of South America. Colombia is bordered to the east by Venezuela and Brazil, to the south by Ecuador and Peru, to the North by the Atlantic Ocean, through the Caribbean Sea and to the west by Panama and the Pacific Ocean. Colombia is the only country in South America that borders both the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.

Its vast territory is made up of diverse physical contrasts ranging from the towering snow capped peaks of the Andes to the hot and humid plains of the Amazon River Basin, to a vast tropical coastal plain in the north.

During the most famous festivals such as the Cali Fair, the Barranquilla Carnival, the Iberoamerican Theatre Festival and the Flower Festival is when the most tourists come to Colombia. Many people visit Colombia during Christmas time and the celebrations surrounding the Independence of Colombia

Colombia has become notorious for its illicit drug production, kidnappings, and murder rate. In the 1990s, it became the worlds largest producer of cocaine and coca derivatives. However it has continued to attract more tourists in recent years.

Around 11,000 British nationals visit Colombia every year. Most visits are trouble free. However there is a high threat of terrorism in Colombia.

It is the UKs fifth largest export market in South America. The UKs share of the Colombian market is currently around one percent, with exports of goods and services. The UKs main exports are specialised industrial machinery, power generating machinery and equipment and beverages.

The UK is also one of the largest foreign investors in Colombia, with investments in excess of 10b. UK companies are particularly active in oil and gas, mining, pharmaceuticals and insurance.

Dominated by the Spanish and Portuguese for over 300 years, backpackers still head straight to the ruins of the Pre Colombian sites of the Incas and learn about culture in South America today.

The food, drink and festivals are eclectic, influenced by the indigenous population and the various influxes of Europeans and Africans.

In a word, South America is a hybrid a continent of religious and ethnic diversity, memory and modernity.

Known for its beautiful Caribbean beaches, friendly people and exquisite colonial buildings, Cartagena should be on everyones itinerary when visiting Colombia.

Colombia is hot and very wet along the Caribbean and Pacific coastal areas. Conditions change rapidly hot to cold as one travels from the lowlands to the highlands of the Andes.

One of the most essential things about touring is that one must have an information about the highlights of the place one wants to visit. It is essential, for in the absense of such knowledge there is every possibility that one might miss out on some of the most happening spots of a particular place. It is for this very purpose that it is advised that people who go on voyage to different countries go armed with travel guides so that they have information about everything of the place they have gone to.

This not only includes information about the highlights of the place but travel guides also about the availability of transport to ferry people there. It also gives information about some exclusive things that are found there. Things like sweets, fruits, cloths or cuisine. If a place is famous for all these or anyone and one go and don’t enjoy all or either of these, then one can be rest assured that the pains that one took to go there will go waste.

It is, therefore, in the best interest of people that they plan their outing after carefully going through the travel guides. These guides also guide people about the time which is most favourable to visit which place. It also guides one about the accommodation facility available there and the rates at which they can be availed. In nutshell, it must be understood that travel guides are something absolutely essential for people who plan to visit any place.

People must take precautions while purchasing travel guide. First of all it is absolutely essential that people buy the latest published guides as the older version might have become obsolete. Then one should also know that one does not compromise on the price while purchasing travel guides. Remember it is on these guides that hinges the success of your tour. It is essential, therefore, that they are not given a cold shoulder.

Once a very untouchable country, Colombia today is more open to international travelers than it has ever been. The soaring peaks of the Andes and the motley ecology of the lowlands contributes to the indefinable nature of this ever-evolving nation. Yu will be able to swim in the Caribbean, hike through the Amazon, climb to exhilarating heights and, at the end of the day, sip premium coffee and cocoa with the locals.

The independent nation of Colombia is located in the northwest corner of the South American Continent, just across the Canal from Panama. To understand the infinite diversity of Colombian travel, one must understand its size and neighbors. Colombia is more than twice the size of France and is the only South American country to have a border with both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Airfare to Colombia is also a fantastic place to start in South America as Colombia shares borders with Brazil, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.

Sweet and Soulful City Life in Colombia

Travel to Colombian cities is a magical vacuum of time where colonial Spanish balconies hang regally over plazas next to modern commercial complexes along stone paved streets. For a uniquely urban Andean experience, visit the capital city of Bogotá at an elevation of 8,660 feet. Airfare to Colombia through Bogotá is also quite common. The city is rich with Colombian history and culture, as well as posh nightclubs, swanky restaurants and some unique boutiques. Make sure to visit the Museo del Oro where spectacular gold and precious gem items from numerous Hispanic archeological sites have been preserved.

Cartagena is one of Colombia’s most famous and most photographed cities. Located along the Caribbean, visitors get to enjoy monumental Spanish architecture and exotic plazas within the old wall of this World Heritage Site with the gentle ocean breeze in the background. Dining and nightlife feature prominently in Cartagena’s cultural dynamics. Also, the Ciudad Perdida, or Lost City, is a must see for history buffs and relaxed vacationers alike. The remains of this indigenous community date from the 11th to the 14th century. The Lost City is one of the largest Pre-Columbian settlements and requires an exhilarating 6 day hike through thickly forested hills and valleys. This is a real hands-on way to become acquainted with the countryside!

Can’t Get enough of Colombia

When you book your airfare to Colombia, be aware of the vast and wondrous national parks, wilderness reserves and sparkling stretches of beach. Map out your itinerary and then your flight accordingly, as Colombia is expansive. If a private hammock on the beach is your ideal stay, do not miss the lavish beauty of El Parque Tayrona. For the avid divers and snorkelers, spend a few days among the whales and sea turtles of Isla Gorgona.
